HYPNOTHERAPY
Hypnosis
is the tool we use to prepare you for therapy. Hypnosis relaxes the
conscious (thinking/critical) part of your mind and makes the
unconscious part more accessible. Once you are relaxed into hypnosis,
the therapy can begin. Several types of therapy are used, to suit the
particular circumstances, the main ones being Suggestion Therapy and
Analytical Therapy.
Suggestion Therapy
is used for problems such as smoking, exam and interview nerves,
relaxation, confidence boosting, etc. These problems often require just
one or two sessions.
Analytical Therapy
is used to uncover the causes of more complex problems, such as panic
attacks, fears and phobias, depression, insomnia, low confidence and
self esteem, stress-related ailments, sexual problems etc. Analytical
Therapy usually takes between 6-8 sessions, but this can vary for
different people (up to a maximum of 12 sessions).
Emotional problems respond particularly well to Analytical Therapy (also known as ‘Hypno-Analysis’).
The therapy is based on the doctrine of ‘cause and effect’, where every
symptom must have a cause. Hypno-analysis can reveal and remove the
cause of the problem, thereby removing the symptoms. The objective of
analysis is to bring you to a moment of enlightenment to bring about
lasting release from symptoms. Many other types of treatment seek to
control symptoms, but hypno-analysis seeks to remove the originating
cause(s) of the problem for good.
